The snapshots cover 10 markets from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City. As of the first quarter of 2021, in the Las Vegas area international buyers make up 2.4% of demand. The largest Out-of-County demand comes from California. The counties surrounding Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco make up 29.9% of Out-of-County domestic demand for Las Vegas.
In the St. George area, the largest Out-of-County demand comes from counties along the Wasatch Front, including Salt Lake County, Utah County, and Davis County. These combined comprise 32.3% of Out-of-County domestic demand. The second-largest Out-of-County demand comes from the Greater Los Angeles area and makes up 12.1% of Out-of-County domestic demand.
With respect to the demand for Salt Lake County, 54.9% comes from within. Other counties within Utah make up 10.4% of demand. Utah, Davis, Weber, and Summit Counties make up 19.3% of Out-of-County domestic demand.
