Susan Jarvis and Art Around the Corner

The “Art Around the Corner” Foundation not only focuses on the artistic talents of our community, but offers a great education program to promote creativity amongst the students of the city of St. George. Art Around the Corner is currently offering a “Young Creator’s” program. The foundation invites Washington County high school students to participate in a new initiative called the “Young Creators Program,” whose goal is to encourage young artists in the Washington County School District.

The Young Creators Program consists of a district-wide sculpture/3D art contest which will conclude in the spring of 2018. Through a juried process, the foundation aims to identify 12 student artists who will be selected as finalists. These young artists will then present their pieces at the opening Gala Dinner for the Art Around the Corner’s annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit on April 13, 2018. At the Gala, all Young Creators Program finalists’ pieces will be available for purchase by interested buyers.

Susan says: “It is such an honor to serve as Chairman of the Board for Art Around the Corner. I believe it is so important to display the artistic talents our community and our city has to offer and to promote education amongst young people.”
