The International Leadership Association (ILA) held its 20th anniversary conference on October 24-27th in West Palm Beach, Florida.  ILA brings professionals together to promote the study, practice, and teaching of leadership.  The association is committed to leadership scholarship, development, and practice.

At the 20th anniversary conference, Amanda Wickramasinghe, Director of Education for ERA Brokers Consolidated participated on the panel “Peace, Reconciliation, and Social Justice Leadership in the 21st Century”.  Additional members of the panel included Dr.Eric Schokman, former Dean at USC Public Policy School and current Faculty at Pepperdine University, Dr.Whitney Miller, Professor at Chapman University, Lisa Liberatore, PhD Student at Pepperdine, and Mr.Ira Chaleff, Visiting Scholar at Cambridge University.

“It was a great opportunity to participate on the panel with such distinguished professionals” said Amanda.  She continued, “The work that ILA does and the discussion the conference promotes is integral to the scholarship and practice of global leadership.”

Amanda earned her Doctor of Education (Ed.D) from Pepperdine University in 2016. She is completing a second doctorate in Global Leadership & Change, also from Pepperdine. She has traveled extensively internationally, which included opportunities to speak at global conferences, leadership seminars, and panels on advancing education and building future leaders. She was recognized as an inaugural 40 under 40 honoree at Pepperdine and recently co-authored a book on leadership and work life balance.
