In Washington County the days a home is on the market continues to fall. The average home in October of this year is closing 80 days after going on the market. New construction is still on the rise. According to Construction Monitor, 106 residential building permits were pulled in October. This has brought the total for 2012 to 961. The number of listings for sale in October fell slightly lower compared with September and year over year price increases are holding steady between 5 and 6%. These price increases are expected to continue into 2013.
Even though the number of listings for sale fell compared with September they are up by 22% compared with October 2011. Washington County is still on top of the rest of the state in median home price increases.
